Mukhtar Medjidov appointed Prime Minister of Dagestan

Today the Parliament of Dagestan confirmed ex-Deputy Chairman of the Government Mukhtar Medjidov’ appointment Prime Minister.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that on January, 28, the resignation of Head of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov was accepted by the President’s decree. Deputy from “United Russia” party Ramazan Abdulatipov was commissioned to act as Head of the republic. On January, 30, he signed a resolution of resignation of the Government of Dagestan and nominated Medjidov as candidate for holding the office of Prime Minister.

The question of Medjidov’s appointment was put on the agenda of the 19th session of the Parliament of Dagestan of the fifth convocation, web-site of People’s Assembly of the republic reports.

Medjidov’s candidacy was approved by the Parliament and now he has to accomplish forming the Cabinet of Ministers, RIA “Dagestan” reports.
