MIA: Head of Nazran District of Ingushetia checked for involvement in fraud
Aslan Dobriev, a detained head of the Nazran District of Ingushetia, is being checked by law enforcement bodies for involvement in the criminal case instituted under article "fraud through abuse of power". This was reported by the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
Local sources do not rule out that Aslan Dobriev was detained in connection with his support of the direct election of the head of Ingushetia and also point to the demolition of private houses under construction in the village of Ekazhevo allegedly produced under the instructions of the detainee.
Today, officials from the Nazran ROVD (District Interior Division) have reported that on February 17, Aslan Dobriev was formally arrested for a month to conduct investigating actions.
Speaking about the reasons for the detention, a representative of the press service of the MIA for Ingushetia has clarified that searching actions were carried out in the building of the administration of the Nazran District within the activities to investigate the criminal case instituted on February 13.
