Andreas Gukasyan in Armenia stopped hunger strike
Today Director of “Radio Ai”, participant of the election race Andreas Gukasyan stopped his hunger strike against inequality of rights of the candidates for presidency which lasted 30 days.
Gukasyan’s supporters took him into a tent where he answered the journalists’ questions and then went home.
Before leaving he thanked the policemen who guarded him during the period of hunger strike and the citizens who supported him, News.am reports.
Commenting on the results of the election he said that it did not express the will of the people. He also declared that the reaction of observers of OSCE who called the election transparent and open indicated “their support of the criminal oligarchic regime ruling in the country”, Arminfo quotes Director of “Radio Ai”.
Speaking of his hunger strike itself Gukasyan pointed out that his goal was not to achieve any results at the election but to “draw the attention of the community and European bodies to the absence of democracy in the country”, “Novosti-Armenia” reports.
