Iskra Morokhia found dead in Gali district

The dead body of Iskra Morokhia, an officer of the Security Service of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia in exile, was found on March 18 with multiple bullet wounds in the village of Chuburkhindzh, Abkhazia's Gali district, at the Sakobalio ford across the Ingur River at the Georgian-Abkhazian border.

A certificate of employment and a Soviet passport were found on him.

Iskra Morokhia has been wanted since January 21, 1992, reported a source at the Gali district interior department. The investigation is conducted by the Gali district prosecutor's office.
