Organizers of unsanctioned rally in Stavropol fined
The activists of the party named "Novaya Sila" (New Force) Oksana Borisova and Ilya Kartsev have been fined by 10,000 roubles each for organizing an unauthorized gathering in Stavropol, which was held on February 9.
It was attended by about 80 young people, including activists of the unregistered party "Novaya Sila"; and policemen detained 54 of them. Administrative protocols were drawn up against the leader of the party in Nevinnomyssk Ilya Kartsev and the head of the party organization in the city of Mineralnye Vody Oksana Borisova.
Both detainees were taken to the on duty judge of the Lenin District Court Lyudmila Kononova.
Oksana Borisova wrote on her page in the social network "VKontakte" that Judge Kononova imposed on them administrative fines of 10,000 roubles. Borisova denied her guilt at the court.
According to her version, she was just walking and saw policemen talking to the guys whom she knew. Borisova became interested and went up to them; then she was detained.
So far, there are no comments of the police on the decision of the court.
