Presidential candidate Airikyan recalls his application on election postponement
This morning, the lawyer Levon Bagdasaryan, a representative of the presidential candidate Paruir Airikyan, has recalled Airikyan's application on postponement of the presidential election by two weeks, a source from the press service of the Constitutional Court told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Armenia Today" adds, with reference to Ovannes Papikyan, the press secretary of the Court, that the application was withdrawn before the Constitutional Court had decided to take the case to consideration. Since the deadline for submitting an application for the postponement expired the day before, on February 10, Airikyan will not be able to change his mind and re-apply for the delay.
"I said more than once that this election is a farce, but I couldn't even think that it will turn into marasmic idiocy," the blogger of the "Caucasian Knot" named Yerevanets has commented on the fact.
