Ivanishvili reports about his first 100 days in office
Bidzina Ivanishvili has summed up his first 100 days in office as the Prime Minister of Georgia. He believes that he was successful.
One of the achievements, according to Ivanishvili, is a large-scale amnesty, including political prisoners, the "News-Georgia" reports.
The Premier has treated the country's budget for 2013 as "very good." According to his story, he managed to increase the funding of social items of the budget through cutting the expenditures on law enforcement agencies and the administration of the president. They stopped the costly and "unnecessary", in the opinion of the Prime Minister, projects that had been started by President Mikhail Saakashvili, for example, the construction of the township of Lazik on the Black Sea coast.
"The greatest desire of the new government of Georgia and its goal is to normalize the relations with our big neighbours, with Russia," he has stressed.
The Premier expects that the return of Georgian products to the Russian market will take place in stages; first, the Georgian wines, then, other agrarian products, on which negotiations are underway, the RIA "Novosti" quotes Mr Ivanishvili as saying.
