The Russians evacuated from Syria assigned to live in Northern Caucasus

The Russians evacuated from Syria at night of January, 23, were assigned for further residence and stay to the republics of Northern Caucasus and a number of other regions of Russia, Deputy Head of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Moscow Yuri Besedin reported.

According to him, two aircrafts of the Ministry with 77 persons: 27 children, 30 men and 20 women arrived from Syria.

The Russian citizens who were on the consular register appealed to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Syria by themselves expressing their wish to leave the country, “Izvestia” reports.

In particular, the Russians evacuated were assigned for further residence and stay to Northern Caucasus, Saint-Petersburg, Voronezh and Kursk, Yuri Besedin reported. He did not mention the exact number of citizens assigned to the republics of Northern Caucasus.
