At rally, residents of Sochi township of Loo report on improper work of police

Residents of Sochi held a many-hour action near the building of the police and administration of the village of Loo, protesting against improper work of law enforcement bodies.

Lyubov Kovaleva, the organizer of the rally, a member of the "Communists of Russia" Party, has reported that more than 100 residents gathered in front of the building. The participants of the protest action presented their claims to the police against its inaction in connection with waste depositing at the closed landfill in the village and its failure to take measures in connection with complaints about fraud with the land plots. The participants of the protest action signed a collective complaint demanding the dismissal of resignation of Vladimir Melnikov, Chief of the police in the village of Loo.

Vladimir Melnikov himself was surprised by the requirements of the organizers and participants of the protest action.

"I do not know why the organizers of the rally presented their claims to me. I believe that I do everything in accordance with the law," Vladimir Melnikov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
