KBR: local resident wounds policeman

In the village of Yanikoi of the Chegem District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), a staff member of the Centre to Combat Extremism of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) was wounded. The policeman got wounded while trying to detain a local resident, the MIA reports.

Tezim Zalikhanov, a local resident, threw a grenade into staff member of the Centre to Combat Extremism when they tried to detain him. As a result of the explosion, one of the policemen was wounded by shrapnel and was brought to a nearby hospital. This was reported by the website of the Chief Department of the Russian MIA for the NCFD.

Tezim Zalikhanov was detained and brought to the OVD (Interior Division). Till present, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the detainee.
