In Ingushetia, human rights organization "Mashr" decorates winners of contest "Heroes of Civil Society"

On January 10, Nazran held a ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest "Heroes of Civil Society", founded by the human rights organization "Mashr". The number of winners includes human rights activists, members of the public associations, officials, the businessman and the local imam.

The purpose of the contest is to encourage people who have shown their active citizenship. The winners of the contest were determined in seven categories.

Tamerlan Akiev, the leader of the Nazran Branch of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" has been awarded "For activity in field of human rights protection". Khasan Akhilgov, the CEO of the OJSC Commercial Bank "Ringkombank" has been awarded in the category "For active charity". Writer Issa Kodzoev and blogger Patimat Khashagulgova were awarded "For courage and display of active citizenship". Vakha Chapanov, the head of the information and analytical agency "Maximum" has been distinguished in the category "For courage and objectivity in journalism".

Khamzat Chumakov, the imam of the mosque of the Nasyrkort Municipal District of Nazran, has been awarded "For peacekeeping". Yusup Temirkhanov, the leader of the social movement "Dakaste-Fatherland" has won the nomination "For diligent work in fight for health of nation". Isa Daurbekov, the head of the Ombudsman's Office in the Republic of Ingushetia, has been awarded the personal diploma "For decency in performing official duties".
