In Dagestan, man killed in shootout

In Dagestan, in Kaspiisk, during a shootout with policemen, a man was killed who was the first to open fire on them.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, the incident occurred at about 06:30 p.m. today.

"The policemen tried to stop a man to verify his documents, and he opened fire on them. He was killed by return fire," a representative of the MIA has said.

Officials from the Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) have confirmed the fact of the shootout and noted that the details are under investigation.
