A man accused of preparing an act of terror in Red Square complains of violation of his rights in the investigative isolation ward
Two smoking convicts were placed in the same cell with him, lawyer Ziautdin Uvaisov states. According to him, Baimambetov submitted a complaint to Chief of IIW and Public Prosecutor. However, there was no information of consideration of his statement.
“On January, 13, my client received threats from the workmen of the IIW. After that they stopped giving him medications brought by his relatives”, the lawyer said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
Representatives of the IIW of Makhachkala deny the convict’s statement. “Convicts often complain of violation of their rights which is not true. They are provided with medical aid at request”, officials of the IIW declared.
The investigation considers that Baimambetov is involved in an attempt of a terrorist act in Red Square on December, 31, 2010.
