On January 9, Olga Egorova, Chairman of the Moscow City Court, dismissed the appeal filed by the defence of the sentenced man against the verdict to Igor Berezyuk sentenced by the Tver District Court of Moscow for riots in Manezh Square that occurred in December 2010.

On December 11, 2010, more than 5000 football fans and nationalists raised riots in Manezh Square after the march held in memory of Yegor Sviridov, a fan of the "Spartak" FC, who was killed in the fight at night on December 6. On March 29, the Moscow City Court mitigated the punishment to some convicts.
