Ex-Colonel shot not by Yusup Temerkhanov, witness in Yuri Budanov's case asserts

Today, the Moscow City Court continued the trial on the case of the murder of Colonel Yuri Budanov. A witness of prosecutors, who was not questioned by the prosecutors at the courtroom, was brought to the trial. Ruslan Fataliev did not identify the defendant and stated that Yuri Budanov was shot by "a man with red hair wearing a baseball cap on his head, a white T-shirt and jogging trousers".

While giving his testimony the witness said that the murderer of Yuri Budanov "looked like a Chechen man and had bright red hair". "I saw him getting behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer car," Ruslan Fataliev has noted.

After Murad Musaev, the defendant's advocate, asked his client to stand up, the witness clearly said: "That was definitely not him." After clarification of the son of Yuri Budanov, whether the witness saw how his father was shot, Ruslan Fataliev confirmed that he saw the shooter. "Yes, there were 5-5-6 shots," he has added.
