In KChR, investigators question alleged organizers of Zorb entertainment

In Karachay-Cherkessia, investigators identified suspected organizers of Zorb entertainment, and the question of filing charge against them is under consideration. This was reported by Sergey Shuvaev, Senior Assistant on Media Relations of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR).

"In connection with death of a tourist near the village of Dombay on Zorb entertainment, all leisure-time entertainments are to be checked," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Sophya Kuznetsova, Assistant of the Republic's Prosecutor for enforcement, relations with media and public.

Advocate Igor Trunov expressed his opinion and said that Zorb entertainment activity appeared in the "gray zone" of the current legislation.

"I think the current legislation does not regulate Zorb entertainment activity, since current legislators in 90% of cases are not aware of the existence of Zorb entertainment itself. I think this is a local initiative," Igor Trunov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The advocate has suggested in that regard, there is no insurance for tourists who roll downhill in the orbs. "This is a subject of the future. Therefore, those tragic situations and, consequently, increased material costs to compensate medical treatment or funeral expenses remain on the shoulders of the victims."
