Persons killed in Kabardino-Balkaria to be identified after genetic analysis
The suspected militants killed in the Baksan District of Kabardino-Balkaria could be identified only after genetic analysis, since their bodies are too badly burned. This was reported by the law enforcement bodies of the republic.
On January 6, a shooting occurred when power agents tried to stop a Gazel car which, according to the information of the operational headquarters of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), was driven by members of underground. Three suspected militants were killed. An explosive device detonated in the car, causing a fire. According to the information of the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC), the killed persons were preparing terror acts in the temples of the republic during the holiday divine services of January 6-8.
The operation took place on the outskirts of the village of Dugulubgei, a part of Baksan. This was reported by the "ITAR-TASS" with reference to the operational headquarters of the KBR.
Weapons found at the place were sent for examination, and improvised explosive devices that did not detonate were destroyed at the place in connection with the danger of their transporting, the website of the NAC reports.
