In Georgia, snow isolates 18 villages

In the region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, heavy snowfall cut off 18 Georgian villages located in the valley of Khada from the outside world.

In Mtskheta-Mtianeti, the snow depth already reaches one meter. The roads to the gorge of Khada are fully blocked. Snow-clearing vehicles are; however, they cannot start clearing the roads because of the continuing snowfall.

Besides, the isolated villages are not heated because of the damage of the pipeline that occurred several days ago, the agency "GHN" reports with reference to the regional administration.

In the past year, residents of the gorge of Khada already faced a similar problem. In February 2012, the approach roads to several villages were completely blocked by a blizzard, the "Georgia Online" reports.
