Rostov-on-Don residents vote on Internet for dismissal of City Mayor

On the Internet, users hold a campaign to collect signatures for the dismissal of Mikhail Chernyshov, Mayor of Rostov-on-Don, who has been leading the administration of the city for nearly 20 years.

The collection of signatures on the website "Collection of electronic votes" was initiated by journalists of the newspapers "Southern Federal" and "Novaya Gazeta in Southern Federal". They have found 10 reasons why the current Mayor deserves dismissal.

Those reasons include "all-season traffic jams in the city", poor operation of the housing and utilities infrastructure complex, lack of kindergartens, poor street cleaning, and "a failing urban policies". Besides, the initiators of the action claim that, during the administration of Mikhail Chernyshov, Rostov-on-Don actually lost "its status of the southern capital", the environmental problems aggravated, and the Mayor himself lost the trust of the city residents.

The initiators of the action, who announced the collection of votes for the dismissal of Mikhail Chernyshov, offer the residents of Rostov-on-Don not only to vote, but also to add reasons for the dismissal, and to assess the two-decade activity of Mikhail Chernyshov.
