Armenian CEC receives two more applications for presidential nomination
Today, Aram Arutyunyan, the leader of the "National Accord" Party, and Andreas Gukasyan, a political scientist, have filed documents for registration as presidential candidates. This was reported by the press service of the Central Election Committee (CEC).
Aram Arutyunyan is a teacher of the Yerevan State University, and he ran for the position of President of Armenia in 2003 and 2008.
Political scientist Andreas Gukasyan is running for presidency for the first time. Andreas Gukasyan took an active part in the movement of NGO representatives and a number of civil initiatives, demanding to dismantle stalls in Mashtots Park in early 2012.
