Movie "Innocence of Muslims" is put on the federal list of extremist materials

The Russia's Ministry of Justice has put the movie "Innocence of Muslims" on the federal list of materials deemed as extremist.

The federal list of banned materials, posted on the website of the Ministry of Justice, treats the scandalous film as "information material" and presents it under No. 1589.

An excerpt of the anti-Islamic movie filmed in the USA "Innocence of Muslims" appeared on the network in September 2012 and caused protests in several countries.

Access to the YouTube, where a trailer of the movie was posted, was blocked by providers in several regions of Russia, including its South – in Dagestan, Chechnya and Krasnodar Territory.
