Indictment in case of killing five hunters in Dagestan

The Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported about presentation of charges to a member of the armed grouping in Dagestan of committing a number of very grave crimes, including the murder of five hunters in February 2012.

On February 27, bodies of five hunters were found in the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan. According to investigators, the hunters were shot dead with the firearms used earlier in the killings of rural imams of mosques in July and September 2011, as well as in several attacks on policemen.

The name of the accused person was not disclosed. According to the investigation, since the summer of 2011 he was actively involved in the operations of the armed grouping operating in the Karabudakhkent and Buynaksk Districts.

Also, the investigation has identified other members of the grouping and those who had provided financial support to them – they have been put on the wanted list, says the website of the Investigatory Department for Dagestan of the ICRF.

The defendant has pled guilty of all the incriminated crimes, said the ICRF.
