Volgograd Region: former headmistress accused of bribe-taking for help in passing USE

As reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Volgograd Region, the indictment has been approved against Svetlana Konovalova, the former headmistress of School No. 2 in the Octiabrskiy District, who was suspected of taking bribes for helping in passing the unified state examination (USE).

According to investigators, Konovalova was detained at receiving money from the parents of one of the pupils for a success at taking the USE.

The prosecutor's inspection found that in June this year during the exam in mathematics Svetlana Konovalova illegally made copies of the exam materials and then delivered the solutions of the problems to pupils, says the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the Volgograd Region.

She agreed to ensure positive USE results for two pupils for the total remuneration of 8000 roubles, the "Interfax-South" specifies with reference to Oksana Cheredinina, the spokesperson of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
