Telavi hospital staff goes on strike in Georgia
On December 20, 130 employees of the medical centre in the city of Telavi went on a strike demanding to pay their wage arrears.
As stated by the doctors, the insurance company "Aldagi BCI" did not pay their salaries for October, November and December.
"We're without salaries since October. Despite this, go to work and serve people. But it cannot last forever. We don't know when the money will be paid," the "Georgia Online" quotes one of the protesters.
The medics plan to sue the insurance company, the "Tbilisi Week" reports.
So far, there are no comments of the insurance company; its position in relation to the statement of the healthcare workers is unknown.
