Dagestani MIA verifies blogger's information about slave trade in Makhachkala
The Dagestani police began verifying the information on human beings traffic at a bus station in Makhachkala, which appeared in social networks. This was reported on May 14 by a representative of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
"Most likely, the information is a provocation; however, we are verifying it," the policeman said.
Officials from the Republic's Investigatory Committee said that they received no information on such facts, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
It should be noted that on May 13, blogger Zakir Magomedov posted a message in his Twitter stating that the bus station "Piramida" in Makhachkala "was a black market where slaves could be bought". There, according to the blogger's information, "a male slave can be bought for 15,000 roubles, and a female slave for 150,000 roubles."
According to the information of the website "Delovaya Makhachkala", the bus station "Piramida" in Makhachkala is situated in the yard of the cinema "Piramida", located in 38a, Nasrutdinov Street.
