In Zugdidi, 20 refugees go on hunger strike
Today, in the Georgian city of Zugdidi, 20 refugees went on a hunger strike at the building of administration of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The protesters demand a meeting with David Darakhvelidze, Georgian Minister for Refugees and Accommodation.
Two days ago, the Minister visited the region of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti; however, he met only representatives of "chosen families", the hunger-strikers believe.
According to the protesters' story, Minister David Darakhvelidze should meet all the refugees, the "Interpressnews" reports today.
The refugees claim that the hunger strike will be stopped only after the arrival of David Darakhvelidze in Zugdidi, the "Ekho Kavkaza" (Echo of the Caucasus) reports.
