NAC: Katsiev and Pugoev, leader and member of local militant grouping, killed in Nazran together with Kholadov

As reported by the information centre of the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the death toll of the special operation conducted on December 19 in Nazran included two militant leaders Ayub Kholadov and Movsar Katsiev, and a militant Khamzat Pugoev from Katsiev's grouping.

One of the casualties has been preliminarily identified as Ayub Kholadov. According to power agents, he was the so-called Emir of the Kurchaloy District of Chechnya.

Other preliminarily identified persons were Movsar Katsiev, the leader of the "Nazran" militant grouping and Khamzat Pugoev, a member of the same grouping, who was involved in attacks on policemen in Ingushetia and North Ossetia, said the NAC.

No civilians suffered during the special operation, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Let us note here that the death of Ayub Kholadov had been reported earlier. The Chechen authorities had reported that on July 29 a special operation was held in the Ingush village of Galashki, in the course of which the organizers of the attack on Tsentoroy were killed, including Kholadov.

The fact that Kholadov was killed in July was stated by his fellow villager in a message received by the "Caucasian Knot" through the SMS service of the edition. "Ayub Kholadov was my fellow villager; he was killed in July. The bodies of him and Ibragim Avdurkhanov stayed for the whole day in the centre of the village, I personally saw it... And the fact that he was killed now is a lie – how can one person be killed twice?" the reader has noted.
