Cameron states UK's intention to cooperate in ensuring safety at Sochi Olympics
Today, in the Sochi residence "Bocharov Ruchei", the Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with the British Prime Minister David Cameron, where they agreed on cooperation of the countries' security services in the field of security during the Olympic Winter Games in 2014.
After today's talks, Putin and Cameron used a helicopter to fly over the sites in the Imereti Valley erected in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and visited the main Olympic stadium "Fischt", which was designed and is built with participation of British companies, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
According to Cameron, today, in the course of the talks they discussed the issue of security at the Olympic Games in Sochi. "Today, President Putin and I agreed on cooperation of our security services in the sphere of safety," he said.
The issue of cooperation of Russian and British power agents during the Olympic Games in Sochi was raised today for the first time after the controversial poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko in London, the "Echo Moskvy" reports.
