Three locals whose houses blew up arrested in Dagestan
Today, the Buinaksk City Court has ruled to arrest for a month three residents of Buinaksk, in whose houses explosions occurred on May 6, said the lawyer Zulfiya Isagadjieva.
"The court granted the investigator's petition and rejected my motion asking to restrict the detainees' freedom by means of home arrest," Ms Isagadjieva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Asadula Tsaritilov, Asadula Karanaev and Said Umarov were detained on May 6 after their houses were searched. According to the police, improvised explosion devices (IEDs) were found in their houses, which were destroyed on the spot by blasting. The detainees are suspected of illegal possession and production of weapons and explosive devices. Their relatives believe that the bombs had been planted by law enforcers themselves.
According to Zulfiya Isagadjieva, who is representing the interests of Asadula Karanaev and Said Umarov, the detainees' relatives are very much concerned about their health, as Karanaev and Tsaritilov are Category II invalids. The lawyer said that she personally met the detainees and made sure that they are not under any pressure or physical force; their health condition is normal.
Also, according to Isagadjieva, the defence intends to appeal at higher judicial instances the ruling of the Buinaksk City Court about the one-month-long custody of the detainees.
