In Krasnodar, police stop art picket in support of "prisoners of Bolotnaya Square"
The protest action in the form of art picket in support of defendants in the case on riots in Bolotnaya Square was held near the building of the Krasnodar Mayoralty. Artist Eldar Ganeev, the initiator of the protest action, was detained and brought to the police station.
In support of defendants in the case on riots in Bolotnaya Square, Eldar Ganeev set a wooden booth, which he called "Booth of Solo Picket". At about 05:00 p.m., the artist drove into the square area directly in the booth, which was equipped with wheels, webcams and slots for demonstration of slogans. The artist demonstrated posters reading "Freedom to prisoners of May 6", "Putin, go to Canary Islands", "Thief to be imprisoned", and "Sochi 2014 record for theft".
About 40 minutes after the start of the protest action, Eldar Ganeev was detained. The police charged the artist of breaking the rules of urban development, since the artist did not have a permit to install a non-stationary object and a lease agreement.
Eldar Ganeev went to the police station directly in his booth, and, in connection with that fact, the police had to temporarily close Krasnoarmeiskaya Street to ensure his passage.
A witness wrote at the "kublog.ru" that the protest action was attended by about 12 persons.
"The young man (Ganeev, note of the "Caucasian Knot") was brought to the police station for investigation. An administrative report has been completed. At present, the young man has been released," the "Yuga.ru" quotes Alexander Runov, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in Krasnodar.
