Rounds planted on resident of Dagestan during search, his relatives assert

Kamal Shagabutdinov and his son Shamil, in whose household, according to the police of Buinaksk, some ammunition was found, were detained. The ammunition had been planted on Kamal Shagabutdinov during the search, his daughter-in-law Aisha asserts.

According to the wife of Shamil Shagabutdinov, on May 5, their household was searched; and then her husband and father-in-law were taken to the Buinaksk GOVD (City Interior Division).

"Employees of the GOVD came with a search warrant early this morning. There are two houses in the yard - the one, where I live with my husband and children, and the house of my husband's parents. First, they came to us. The search warrant was not presented. I, my husband and two young children were in the house," Aisha told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The wife of Shamil Shagabutdinov, who is awaiting the birth of a child in a month, claims that she saw one of the policemen coming into the house of her father-in-law, where there was nobody at that time, and soon came out again; then, they began searching the house, where Aisha lives. They found nothing and moved into the house of her father-in-law, said Aisha.

"Immediately after, a policeman went out with a package in his hands; and we were told that they found some ammunition. I'm sure it was planted. It was also strange that after that the policemen failed to continue the search, although there was my husband's car in the yard; and they could also search the garden," the detainee's wife said.

She added that she could see her husband in the evening of the same day.

According to her story, her husband did nothing illegal, same as her father-in-law, who worked as a musician, playing at weddings. Aisha Shagabutdinova assumes that the only reason for the detention of her husband was in his religiosity. "From May 1, searches and detentions of Muslims are conducted in Buinaksk," she said, while not specifying the houses, which had been searched.

The wife of the detainee has already appealed for help to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) in Buinaksk. The DRPO has confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the fact of the appeal about the abusive actions of law enforcers.

The GOVD of Buinaksk told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on May 5 the on duty unit received a report about a search of one of the houses by employees of the criminal search division; the report stated that the ammunition was found in the house of Shamil Shagabutdinov, not of his father.

According to the police, the search had to do with the criminal case initiated on April 13, 2013, on encroachment on the life of a law enforcer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and on manufacture and possession of weapons, ammunition or explosives (Part 2, Article 222, and Part 1, Article 223, of the Criminal Code). "In the household of a citizen, born in 1985, living in the city of Buinaksk, power agents found and seized two packs of 5.45 mm rounds, 120 pieces in each," the GOVD has reported and added that a criminal case was opened on the outcomes of the search on illegal possession of weapons.

The source said that the criminal case was opened against one of the detainees - Shamil Shagabutdinov. The fate of his father Kamal Shagabutdinov was not reported by the GOVD.
