Head of North-Ossetian "Yabloko" associates search in his house with political order
In Vladikavkaz, the house of Anatoly Sidakov, Chairman of the North-Ossetian Branch of the "Yabloko" Party, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Mir Kavkaza" (World of the Caucasus), was searched. According to the Anatoly Sidakov's version, investigators were looking for weapons; however, he believes the political order was the real reason for the search.
In his interview published on the "Caucasian Knot" video blog on May 1, Anatoly Sidakov has stated that the search was carried out on Friday, April 26, in accordance with the decision of the Vladikavkaz Supreme Court.
According to the Anatoly Sidakov's story, the search was carried out staff members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MFA) in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).
Anatoly Sidakov has stated that the incident is an attempt to put pressure on human rights defenders and is connected with the mass inspections of non-commercial organizations, which are held all over the country. He has added that he intends to appeal to the Prosecutor's Office, the Investigatory Department, the MFA, and the administration of Alexander Khloponin, the plenipotentiary envoy of Russian President in the NCFD, and he intends to publish the results of these visits.
