Competent observers to control presidential election in Stavropol

The round table discussion "The Institution of Observation at the Elections: Purposes, Tasks, and Outlook" was held in Stavropol on March 5. It was arranged by the Stavropol representative office of the Association of Non-profit Organizations in Defense of Voters' Rights "Golos". The organizers invited members of political parties involved in the system of conducting election campaigns.

They shared experience of organizing the work of their observers and exchanged opinions about key problems of observation during the forth-coming presidential election. The Association "Golos" has experience of training its independent observers through special workshops. It offered to conduct such training actions for political party observers too.

Representatives of city and regional committees of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), the Russian Communist Party (KPRF), the United Russia party and the Russian Party of Life who attended the discussion familiarized themselves with the Association's work and training program and showed interest in the offer.

Altogether the Association's trainers will train about 100 observers of these parties.
