NAC: Bagir Agabaev and Albert Yarov killed in Dagestan at night
As reported today by the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), this night in the Khiv District of Dagestan, Bagir Agabaev, the leader of "Khiv" militant grouping, born in 1979, and his accomplice Albert Yarov, born in 1982, were killed.
According to a source in the republic's law enforcement bodies, power agents tried to stop a car, but the driver and two passengers opened fire on special unit fighters and were killed.
According to the NAC, the leader of "Khiv" gang Bagir Agabaev was on the federal wanted list; while Albert Yarov was his active accomplice. The third casualty is still being identified, the "Interfax" reports today with reference to the NAC.
The Investigatory Department for Dagestan of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has confirmed the killing in the shooting of Bagir Agabaev and Albert Yarov, the "Chernovik" newspaper writes today.
Meanwhile, the murder of the leader of "Khiv" grouping Bagir Agabaev was reported by the NAC back in February this year, the "Caucasian Knot" reminds. According to the NAC's message, released on February 12, Bagir Agabaev was killed during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) on the border of the Tabasaran and Derbent Districts of Dagestan.
