SC of Adygea removes complaint of Mukharbi Tkharkakhov from consideration

The Supreme Court (SC) of Adygea has withdrawn from consideration the complaint lodged by Mukharbi Tkharkakhov, a co-chair of the movement "For Future of Adygea", against the decision of the Maikop City Court, which failed to satisfy his complaint against the Territorial Election Commission (TEC) of Maikop, the Office of the SC reported on April 26.

On April 11, the TEC refused to register the self-nominee Mukharbi Tkharkakhov as a candidate for the Mayor of Maikop, claiming improper filling in of forms of signature sheets. On April 16, Tkharkakhov filed a complaint with the Maikop City Court, asking to cancel the refusal and oblige the TEC to register him as a candidate. On April 22, the court dismissed the complaint; and on April 23, Mukharbi Tkharkakhov appealed to the Supreme Court against the decision on the Maikop City Court.

The complaint was received, but withdrawn from consideration, because of technical errors committed by the first instance, a clerk of the Supreme Court of Adygea told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"In our opinion, the court hearing of the case is deliberately protracted, since the election campaign begins soon. We strongly disagree with the decision of the Maikop Court of April 22," Rashid Mugu, another activist of the movement "For Future of Adygea", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
