In Quarter 4 of 2012, seven persons fell victim to the armed conflict in North Ossetia
In North Ossetia, in October, November and December 2012, at least seven persons fell victim of the armed conflict ongoing in Northern Caucasus; of them, three persons perished and four more were wounded. These are the results of the calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
The above statistics is unable to reflect, with a 100-percent precision, the number of victims under each of the categories specified in the report. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the truthfulness of the statements made by law-enforcement bodies.
The casualties registered in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (RNO-A) in Quarter 4 of 2012 included one power agent, one suspected member of the armed underground, and one civilian.
All the four wounded persons were power agents.
In December, North Ossetia lost one civilian. In November, there were no victims; while in October six persons in the RNO-A became victims of the armed conflict: one policeman and one suicide bomber perished, and four policemen were wounded.
In the third quarter of 2012, in the territory of the Republic North Ossetia-Alania, three persons suffered from the armed conflict: two supposed IAF members were killed, and one military was wounded. In the second quarter of 2012, there were no victims in North Ossetia. In January, February and March 2012, at least four persons suffered in the republic; two of them were killed. The count of casualties included one civilian and one person, declared to be a member of the armed underground. During the same period, the region had at least two wounded employees of law-enforcement bodies.
Let us note here that in 2011, according to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", based on the data received from its own correspondents and on information from other open sources, at least 14 persons fell victim to the armed conflict in North Ossetia; of whom four persons were killed and 10 more were wounded.
