In Quarter 4 of 2012, Karachay-Cherkessia had no victims of the armed conflict

In Karachay-Cherkessia, in October, November and December 2012, there were no victims of the armed conflict ongoing in Northern Caucasus. This is the information of the "Caucasian Knot", based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

In the first quarter of 2012, the republic also had no victims of the armed conflict. During the second quarter of 2012, under the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", in the KChR, at least six persons suffered from the conflict. The death toll includes two employees of law-enforcement bodies and two persons, involved, according to information of law-enforcement bodies, in the armed underground. The list of wounded persons includes two power agents. In the third quarter, at least one person - a perished policeman - fell victim to the armed conflict ongoing in Northern Caucasus.

The above statistics is unable to reflect, with a 100-percent precision, the number of victims under each of the categories specified in the report. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the truthfulness of the statements made by law-enforcement bodies.

In 2011, 34 victims of the republic included 22 casualties and 12 wounded persons.
