Three Georgian citizens released in South Ossetia
The authorities of South Ossetia have released three residents of the Georgian villages, who were arrested for crossing the administrative border. This was reported today by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia.
According to the information of the Georgian MIA, the citizens were released as a result of "intense negotiations".
"On April 19, on charges of 'illegal crossing' of the border, in the village of Kere, Russian soldiers detained shepherds Arsen Lapachi and Gaioz Elikashvili, and in the village of Medjvriskhevi, they detained Dmitry Ginturi," the "Georgia Online" quotes the MIA as reporting.
According to the version of Shid Kartli, a representative of the Chief Department of Internal Affairs, the released citizens were brought to the territory of Georgia today at about 12:00 a.m., the "News-Georgia" reports.
"All three of them feel well, and they will soon return to their families," he has stated.
