Film about Mikhail Trepashkin to be presented in Moscow

The 15-minute documentary about Mikhail Trepashkin A Hero of Our Time" will be presented at the Central House of Journalists in Moscow on March 11.

After the demonstration, Mikhail Trepashkin's lawyers and his wife, Tatyana, will hold a press conference.

Mikhail Trepashkin, a Moscow lawyer and former FSB (Federal Security Service) colonel, is in the Matrosskaya Tishina jail now. He is charged with disclosing state secrets and illegal carrying fire-arms. Many rights defenders and former dissidents believe the accusation against Trepashkin is falsified and he himself is a political prisoner.

The basis of the documentary is the interview with Trepashkin shot by Andrey Nekrasov during his work on the film Disbelief (about the explosions of apartment houses in Moscow in the autumn of 1999).
