Participant of mass fight in Stavropol taken into custody till May 31
Today, the Lenin District Court of Stavropol has ruled to take into custody to SIZO (pre-trial prison) a 24-year-old temporarily unemployed native of Karachay-Cherkessia, accused of shooting from a traumatic weapon during a mass fight.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, that on March 31, near the Trade Union Palace of Culture an Sports, a conflict occurred, in which traumatic weapon was used. 23 persons were brought to the police station.
The Court has sentenced 19 of them to the administrative arrest for five days. On April 17, one of the participants of the mass fight was arrested on suspicion of using the traumatic weapon.
The criminal case was initiated on the fact of shooting under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism committed by a group of persons by prior concert", the Article stipulates the penalty in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to seven years), and it is being investigated by the Chief Investigatory Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Stavropol Territory.
The gunman has never been caught by "hot pursuit", and at present, he was identified. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Marina Zagudaeva, Senior Assistant of the Prosecutor of the Lenin District.
The gunman was identified as a citizen born in 1989, a native of Karachay-Cherkessia, who has incomplete higher education and who, at present, do not officially study or work anywhere.
