A candidate for presidency of Armenia went on a hunger strike

Andreas Gukasyan, candidate for presidency of Armenia, Director of “Radio-Ai”, went on an open-ended hunger strike demanding to suspend incumbent Head of the state Serzh Sargsyan from presidential race.    
   
“In case of non-recognition of the candidacy from the ruling party invalid for nomination before the beginning of the election campaign I will consider my personal and public electoral rights violated. I consider the hunger strike my civil duty for the sake of protection of these rights”, Gukasyan’s statement directed to Head of CEC of Armenia Tigran Mukuchyan runs.

    In Novorossiysk, a court found Natalia Fedorenko, an advocate of blogger Vadim Kharchenko*, guilty of violating privacy and banned her from practicing law for two years. Natalia Fedorenko was also sentenced to community service.
