Amnesty International calls upon EU to increase pressure on Russia in view of rights violations in Chechnya

Amnesty International calls upon the European Union to increase pressure on Russia in view of ongoing human rights violations in Chechnya.

The human rights organization raises its concern about numerous disappearances of people in Chechnya and abuses on the part of the Russian military.

Relations with Moscow are to be discussed this week, at a meeting of foreign ministers of the EU Member States in Dublin.
