Chechen refugees from Syria complain of their disastrous situation in Turkey
A great number of refugees, among them natives of the republics of Northern Caucasus, in particular, those from Chechnya, crowded at the border of Syria and Turkey.
According to Rasim, refugee from Syria, he and 20 more Chechens started from frontier Syrian province of Rakka for the Turkish town of Djeilanpynar. He says that there are 50 more Chechen refugees in the town.
“We got the status but they did not provide us with dwellings explaining that there were a lot of refugees and no space for all. We pay the dwelling rent ourselves”, Rasim said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
“We have no money. We would like to go to Russia, our motherland, but we do not know where to appeal for help”, another Chechen refugee Ali said.
