Today, the Oktiabrskiy District Court of Krasnodar has considered the issue of freedom restriction in relation to Mikhail Savva, the director of grant programmes of the Southern Regional Resource Centre (SRRC) and ruled to arrest him for two months.
Mikhail Savva was detained on April 12; and a criminal case was opened against him. According to the FSB Department, he was involved in embezzling the budget funds allocated by the administration of Krasnodar Territory in the form of a grant. Today, the courthouse was approached by the students, whom Professor Savva was to lecture today. Students protested against Savva's detention.
