In Volgograd, activists label roads at Utilities Department
In the evening on April 11, the members of the public organization named "Public Independent Inspection" marked the potholes on the roads near the Department of Urban Utilities of Volgograd.
Apart from the potholes marked with paint, the activists also left the inscription on the road: "City without roads. Thank you!" and "Man said – man did!"
Alexei Ulyanov, the head of the "Public Independent Inspection", said that the latter inscription was made after the publication by the "Caucasian Knot" on April 6 of the material "Eighty persons take part in action 'Coloured Holes' in Volgograd". The head of the above Department Anatoly Vasiliev then said that he was "glad to give" his place to the activists: "Let them come and do," said Vasiliev.
"I don't need such department head who offers – with his hands down – people to repair roads themselves," Ulyanov wrote today in his blog. "You're just a humorist, perhaps? Ready to give up your post? So, do it, I'm waiting!"
