Director of Krasnodar "Levados" Centre interrogated by FSB, says her mother
On April 8, the Department of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) for the Krasnodar Territory questioned Elena Shablo, the director general of the non-profit public organization "Levados" Information Centre, said her mother Nina Shablo.
According to the mother, throughout the day she and Elena's 12-year-old son could not get any information about her whereabouts. "At 7.30 a.m. tow men called at the door and asked whether Elena Shablo lived there. They said that they were from the FSB," told the "Caucasian Knot" Nina Shablo told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, noting that they did not present their IDs to her.
According to the woman, the men left with Elena Shablo to some unknown place; and only after five in the evening the daughter answered the call. "She arrived in a taxi; they didn't even help her to get home from there. For ten hours she could not contact her family; and she ate nothing," said Nina Shablo.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the officials of the FSB Department for the Krasnodar Territory in relation to Nina Shablo's statements about the interrogation of her daughter Elena.
