Dagestan: relatives of Imam Famil Kuchev claim his kidnapping in Moscow
Relatives of Famil Kuchev, the Imam of the mosque of the village of Novofrig, Khiva District of Dagestan, cannot find him and believe that he could be kidnapped in Moscow.
Zarema Talkanova, a resident of Makhachkala, has addressed the organization "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) asking to help I searching Famil Kuchev, her sister's husband, who was kidnapped, according to her story, on April 2 in Moscow.
"Relatives of Famil Kuchev ask to help to establish his whereabouts, because they believe that he had become another victim of kidnapping," the spokesman of the human rights organization told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Famil Kuchev disappeared on the day of his departure by air from Moscow to Egypt, Zarema Talkanova has noted in her application to human rights activists. For the last time he called his wife at 12:20 a.m. and said that he was on his way to the airport; after which contacts with him stopped.
Throughout the day relatives tried to contact Famil Kuchev, but to no avail. They also contacted the person with whom Famil was to go to Egypt, but he said he did not see Famil and took off without him.
Famil is the Imam of the mosque in the village of Novofrig. "Accordingly, he is a practicing Muslim and went to Egypt to continue his studies, as well as on his commercial matters. He has five children, aged from 8 months to 9 years," said a relative of the resident of Dagestan.
