Tbilisi hosts protest action of librarians

Librarians of Tbilisi demand from the city Mayoralty to preserve the Georgia's library network.

The action was held on December 17 with participation of about 30 persons.

Several protesters had a meeting with Mamuka Katsarava, the head of the city service for social care and culture. After the meeting, the librarians said that the threat of closing libraries had been removed, the "Tbilisi Week" reports.
