Figurant in the case of attack on Nalchik says he did not shall OMON base

At the trial of the attack on Nalchik, the defendant Amur Khakulov gave his testimony; according to the investigation, he was a member of the grouping, which attacked the OMON (riot police) base in Kabardino-Balkaria. According to Khakulov, he did not know about the attack and did not make a single shot.

In his words, he was taken to the gathering of militants without saying where they were going. Only there he saw weapons and took one, according to his version, "without knowing why." He added that he has earlier a conflict with one of the participants in the subsequent attack, which could influence his decision.

Khakulov confessed that he ran with the group that attacked the OMON building, but said that he was not shooting. In the attack, Khakulov's brother was killed, because of which he did not come home, and decided to wait it out, together with another member of the attack, in the neighbourhood named "Iskozh". On November 26 they came and surrendered to the police.

Amur Khakulov said that during the investigation he was forced to slander some members of the grouping "because he was exposed to the toughest physical pressure."
