Sochi: "Olympstroy" seeking to ban visiting beaches of Imereti Lowland

Today, the Adler District Court of Sochi will hear the lawsuit lodged by the State Corporation (SC) "Olympstroy" against Natalia Kalinovskaya, the chair of the territorial public self-government "Psou", and her deputy Svetlana Berestenyova on removal of obstacles to the use by the SC "Olympstroy" of the land of the coastline.

"The SC 'Olympstroy' asks the court to actually ban me, Svetlana Berestenyova and thousands of local residents to move around the beach area, as more than 20 cadastre numbers listed in the lawsuit are in fact public beaches; they have resort value and should be publicly accessible, as none had no right to remove the beaches from the public use," said Natalia Kalinovskaya, treating the lawsuit as "a political order."

No less surprised with the obtained lawsuit was Svetlana Berestenyova. According to her story, "the indigenous several generations of locals, in case the absurd claim is satisfied, will become hostages of the ghetto of the 'Olympstroy', which wants to dictate where people can go and where they cannot."

The respondents believe that the lawsuit has been caused by their active stance in protecting the seashore from the capture and destruction of the line of natural coastal beaches of the Imereti Lowland by the Municipal Production Association (MPA) "Mostovik".

The lawsuit was signed by proxy from the head of the "Olympstroy" by Venera Ishkildina, the head of the legal department. She categorically refused to comment on the lawsuit for compliance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, saying that "her talk to mass media is prohibited by her job description."
